Jun 30, 2025
Product Name: Silicone Additive
Item No.: SilibaseADD-Y039
Discreption:
SilibaseADD-Y039 can work with Al(OH)3、 Mg(OH)2、Sb2O3、zinc borate and other flame retardant non-organic powders to form a synergistic system, Reducing the flammability of composite and improve both mechanical and process property simultaneously.
SilibaseADD-Y039 is particularly useful in halogen free flame retardant cable material formulation which contained PE/AL(OH)3 or Mg(OH)2. By the small dosage of 0.5-1% in the formulation, mechanical、process and flame retardance property are all be significantly improved.
SilibaseADD-Y039 can also significantly improve the mechanical property of polymer once the added filler was treated by it.

How to Use:- Filler treatment:spay onto the surface of powders at a level of 1% by weight of minerals then mix well. Higher surface area substrates need a higher dosage of SilibaseADD-Y039. Better to heat the powder at the temperature of 105-120℃ after treated by SilibaseADD-Y039 .
- In-Situ Application:Add to the extruder or mixer at a level of 1% based on the weight of the mineral filler.
Package:25kg pails and 200 kg drums
Samples:500g bottle
Caution:This product contains residual ethanol and can generate ethanol when exposed to moisture,Appropriate measures should be taken to prevent the accumulation of ethanol in the working environment.
Storage:SilibaseADD-Y039 synergistic flame retardant has a usable life of at least 12 months from the date of production when stored at or below 35℃ in the original unopened containers. After opening a container of SilibaseADD-Y039, a partially filled container should be protected from atmospheric moisture to prevent gellation by purging the container with dry nitrogen or other dry inert gas.
Silicone Additive (SilibaseADD-Y039) launched by SILIBASE SILICONE is a high-performance silane oligomer designed for polymer composite materials. It forms a synergistic system with inorganic flame retardants (such as Al(OH)3, Mg(OH)2, Sb2O3, zinc borate, etc.) to significantly improve the flame retardancy, mechanical properties and processing performance of the material. Its unique chemical structure can form a strong covalent bond with the surface of the mineral filler, solving the pain points of poor filler dispersion and low mechanical strength in traditional flame retardant systems. It is especially suitable for halogen-free flame retardant cable materials (PE/EVA/POE-based), engineering plastics and coatings.
